Providing Embodied Psychotherapy to clients in New York and Massachusetts, conveniently via teletherapy. Support is available for anxiety, depression, life stage transitions, overwhelming stress, resolution of trauma, and chronic pain / illness, with a special niche for women living with Endometriosis.
My name is Rachel Fernbach and I am a Licensed Psychotherapist.
I am based in Brooklyn and I offer talk therapy services online via teletherapy, to residents of New York and Massachusetts.
A creative, kind, and gentle approach to trauma-informed psychotherapy, with an emphasis on body awareness and somatic practices.
My background includes training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Dance/Movement Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, Authentic Movement, Yoga, Meditation, and Manual Therapies.
Adults over the age of 18 who wish to heal, grow, and cultivate the skills needed to live well in our challenging world.
My approach to therapy tends to be a good fit for:
An initial conversation is an opportunity to meet and decide if working together feels right. Please reach out to learn more about how I can support you.
My approach to talk therapy is an intentional, safe, and structured process of inquiry, valuing the sensations and messages of the body as a source of insight and wisdom. We'll use tools including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and somatic movement to help you gain understanding, make changes, and feel better.
Embodied Psychotherapy and somatic education, specially focused on the unique needs of women with Endometriosis. We'll work together to help you build a new relationship with your body, so that you can participate in your life joyfully and meaningfully.
A contemplative movement practice providing space and time for deep personal exploration and the examination of unconscious material. This somatic practice is for everyone, no dance experience needed. Sessions are open to clients in NY, MA, and beyond.
